Class Descriptions
Yoga Arts offers classes for all bodies and levels. Our class offerings are aimed to promote health and wellbeing for the body and mind.

Yoga Fundamentals
This class is designed for beginners and seasoned students who want to learn the foundations of yoga. In this class students will learn the foundational actions of standing poses, forward bends, back bends, and restorative poses, and pranayama. Students will develop strength, stability, flexibility, and an overall sense of peace in the mind and body.
Yoga All Levels
A well balanced all levels class. You will experience a total body yoga class that creates a peaceful state and builds physical strength. This class is appropriate for all levels of practitioner.
Restorative Yoga
You will be rejuvenated by supported postures that soothe the nervous system and alleviate chronic tension and stress.
Intermediate Yoga
This intermediate class is for students who have practiced Iyengar Yoga consistently for six months. Students should feel established in all standing poses, beginner backbends, forward bends, and should be established in shoulder stand or know how to modify.
Pranayama and Meditation
This class teaches the practice of Pranayama, which is the movement of energy in the body using breath techniques. Pranayama calms the nervous system, quiets the mind, and invigorates the body.
Iyengar Yoga All Levels
These classes build physical stability and mental alertness.
You will practice standing poses, forward bends, backbends, twists, inversions,and pranayama (breathwork). The instructor is a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher in the method developed by Sri B.K.S. Iyengar. This class is all levels and welcomes all students.
Gentle Yoga
A gentle yoga class focused on cultivating wellness in body, mind, and spirit. Gentle is appropriate for beginners, individuals with limited mobility, and students of all levels who desire a slower paced class.
Power Hour
This invigorating all levels class will help you unwind. Quickly paced,building stamina, and strength while calming the mind through rhythmic sequencing.
You will learn to follow the breath and explore all kinds of poses to find space in your body and mind.
Strong and Healthy Back
This class offers a step-by-step approach to relieve and prevent back pain. It is recommended for those who are new to yoga, new to working with back issues through yoga,or those who prefer to move at a slower pace. Appropriate for people with muscle strain, scoliosis, and both lower and upper back/neck conditions. You will walk away from these classes knowing how to work with your back needs in your life and your yoga practice.
