Class Descriptions
Yoga Arts offers classes for all bodies and levels. Our class offerings are aimed to promote health and wellbeing for the body and mind.

Yoga Fundamentals
This class is designed for students new to Yoga Arts or for folks who want to study the essential actions of yoga poses. This will guide the practitioner towards strength, stability, flexibility, and an overall sense of peace in body and mind.
Continuing Fundamentals
This class will deepen the knowledge of the essential poses and expand to more standing poses, forward bends, backbends, and inversions. This class builds upon the knowledge of Yoga Fundamentals.
Yoga All Levels
A well balanced all levels class. You will experience a total body yoga class that creates a peaceful state and builds physical strength. This class is appropriate for all levels of practitioner.
Restorative Yoga
You will be rejuvenated by supported postures that soothe the nervous system and alleviate chronic tension and stress.
Intermediate Yoga
This intermediate class is for students who have practiced Iyengar Yoga consistently for six months. Students should feel established in all standing poses, beginner backbends, forward bends, and should be established in shoulder stand or know how to modify.
Yoga for Healthy Aging
Yoga for healthy aging is an active all levels class designed and curated by the seniors at Yoga Arts. The students who attend this class will design the curriculum. This class is appropriate for anyone that desires more support in their poses while experiencing the aging process. The focus of this class will be stability, mobility, and asanas that promote getting up and down from the floor. Standing poses, forward bends, backbends, inversions, seated poses, and twists, will all be taught.
Iyengar Yoga All Levels
These classes build physical stability and mental alertness.
You will practice standing poses, forward bends, backbends, twists, inversions,and pranayama (breathwork). The instructor is a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher in the method developed by Sri B.K.S. Iyengar. This class is all levels and welcomes all students.
Gentle Yoga + Sound Bath
A gentle yoga class focused on cultivating wellness in body, mind, and spirit. Gentle is appropriate for beginners, individuals with limited mobility, and students of all levels who desire a slower paced class. Class ends with a lovely sound bath.
Pranayama and Meditation
This class teaches the practice of Pranayama, which is the movement of energy in the body using breath techniques. Pranayama calms the nervous system, quiets the mind, and invigorates the body.
